About Me
My name is Angela Cao and I enjoy turning my thoughts into all forms of art.
The majority of my work is inspired by recent life events. I am interested in transferring a spur-of-the-moment feeling, an opinion, or a creative thought onto paper, canvas, or digital surface.
I am a leftie artist born in Michigan and raised in Shanghai and New York. Therefore, I also enjoy exploring my Chinese heritage and American nationality through art, as well as a wide range of art styles.
My artworks either surround activist messages or quirky depictions of humor in everyday life.
Art is a way of expression for me, representing freedom of imagination, harbor of comfort, and tool of communication.
I am currently a student at Cornell University, class of 2025. Even though I will likely major in a STEM field, I plan to continue painting and further exploring the intersection of art and science/technology in the future.
My commission artworks can be anything (people, pets etc) in any style requested (anime, realistic etc). I also sell my own designs (on t-shirts, stickers, mugs, pins, masks etc) at my TeePublic store. Feel free to shop there in your free time!
If you are interested in commissioning me, please contact me! I will be very happy to draw for you.
